Cornerstone Christian School Hosting Special Meeting for Parents and Grandparents

Cornerstone Christian School has invited Brad Huddleston to present the Dark Side of Technology seminar for parents and grandparents (no children or teens please) on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the school gymnasium. The meeting is open to the public and admission is free. A freewill offering will be received. Cornerstone Christian School is located on Route 11 north of Harrisonburg on Cornerstone Lane. The student Christian group, known as Blue Ridge Christian Fellowship, at Blue Ridge Community College, is hosting its first annual Rally in the Valley conference this Saturday from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. The purpose of the conference is to bring together other Christian Fellowships from Community Colleges around Virginia for the purpose of spiritual strengthening. Brad Huddleston will be delivering the keynote from 10:00 am – 10:45 am. The conference is open to the public and is free. We invite you to watch the following video for additional information.

Urgent Prayer Request for Australians

As most of you know, Australia has recently experienced flooding on an unimaginable scale. To make matters worse, Queensland is now threatened by cyclones. The first cyclone has already made landfall near Bowen (north Queensland). Now, a second, and extremely powerful Cyclone Yasi is forecast. Beth and I have many friends in its path and we minister in many of the affected areas. Cyclone Yasi will likely make landfall between Innisfail and Prosperpine as a Category 4 storm late Wednesday or Thursday. According to The Australian, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh told reporters, “It may well be one of the largest and most serious cyclone threats we have ever had to deal with.” I want to thank the multitude of you who responded when I made prayer requests during the floods. Would you please begin to intercede again and pass this along to your prayer groups? The Australians are such wonderful people and many are very weary. I thank you for bearing this burden in prayer.
